What a bummer...

Oh, your parents are taking a Love and Logic parenting class, what a bummer.

Yes, that is our phrase.

Oh Carter, what a bummer that you wrote Griffin sucks BA_ _ S (like basket, base or soccer) on the back of my dirty car and now you have to use your report card money to pay for a car wash.

Boys, what a bummer, you decided to steal that lick-a-stick candy thing off our counter and now you have to surrender half of your Halloween candy.

Yes, life is sometimes a bummer. But hopefully things will be more peaceful in the long run.

Can't wait to attend week two!

LOL!!!

I must be blind to my kids' misbehavior because I haven't used any of my phrases yet. I'm sure they're naughty, I've just gotten so good at tuning them out...

Of course, if their misbehavior were evident on my car, all hell would break loose.

poor Carter...

my boys feel his pain-- they've been in his shoes a time or two zillion...

inspite of the fact that daddy usually was laughing behind the scenes (knowing full well that they're getting all "that" kind of stuff from him!)

Lucky kids! ;) Good for you!

Love and Logic! Why does it so commonsensical when you are in the class and yet is soooo difficult to consistently do?!

I have to say that I take a sick pleasure in letting some of the more painful repercussions happen: I once made my son use his allowance to pay for a babysitter so I could go to the grocery store alone after he was a total pain in the ass while shopping. Three years later, he still remembers having to do it!! ;)

We "HEART" Love and Logic! It totally works when I can stay calm and use it! "There's no shampoo left because you dumped a whole bottle on your brother? Bummer! What are gonna do about that?"

Laughing about the Griffin phrase. What is it with boys and "B_ _ _ _ S?"

Ah, yes...boys and those...It's a new fascination around here, too. *sigh* Great punishments tho! Very relevant :o)

I've been wanting to take one of their classes, but one never finds its way close enough. Don't they have a book? They must. I'll have to look and see if they do- that might be my only option, and I'm dying to try this.
