I remember after school snacks: a couple of cookies and a glass of milk.
Griffin's (the 7 year old) after school snack today: one can beef ravioli (gross, I know) and two corn dogs.
Next question: When's dinner?
Is it any wonder I can not keep food in this house.

ha! The joys of boys! My oldest is starting to be like that after school. But my 3 year old is still on a food strike and refuses to eat, ever. I long for the days when he asks for seconds!
They keep them so busy at school--I think this is why they are so freakin' hungry when they get home :)
My kids eat cheese sticks and apples with peanut butter along with whatever else they can find. I am dreading the super hungry teen years :0
So that is what I have to look forward to? Sometimes I am amazed at what Carter can stuff in his little stomach! I don't know where it all goes!
So this is my future, right? ; )
Oh the joys of raising boys! Just wait till they hit puberty! I have an 18 year old and a 15 year old. Our grocery budget almost is as much as our mortgage payment. Oiy!
BTW, email me and let me know how the saga with the tooth guy goes! *lol*
Same here. My boys eat at least 3 times within 3 hours in the evening. When we're home all day, they're "starving" every 2 hours or so. Worse now than when they were babies, LOL. And they eat so much each time! They're all skinny, though.
Oh and how many gallons of milk as mothers of three boys (and one girl) go thru in a week? HOLY FREAKING MOSES!
Seriously, it would be cheaper to buy a cow.
This is what I have to look forward to, huh?
Every time I think it might not happen, I look at my 6'5" skinny husband who is always hungry and realize the college fund is going towards groceries!
Oh.....it only gets worse as they get older. I have a 17 yr old, 12 yr old, and 10 yr old. We go through about a gallon of milk a day. All I do is grovery shop and they still open up the cupboard and fridge and say "there's nothing to eat".
my boys are exactly the same way... not 2 seconds after consuming 1500 calories he is asking for more... no idea where he puts it...
Yesterday my 15 year old had a sandwich, well eating the sandwich he heated up the oven and cooked a frozen pizza. Then ate that. That was his after school snack. I seem to always need grocery's!!!!!
I stumbled across your blog, just had my 5th boy in Sept. I completely sympathize with you about the eating. My oldest (7) is ALWAYS hungry. He keeps telling us to add more to his lunch and still comes home starving and wants to make a sandwich (or two)...
