Fake it, Don't make it

The July issue of Real Simple had a very easy ice cream cake idea. I didn't use the word "recipe" because it was so easy that it didn't feel like a recipe.

Whip up some real whipped cream.

In a loaf pan, I used a bigger pan, place a piece of wax paper. Layer ice cream sandwiches, we did half vanilla and half mint, with the whipped cream. Add crushed candy bar on top, we used a Hershey's bar and some toffee pieces.

Freeze for at least 1 hour. Great to make ahead.

The boys LOVED this. I think I will make it again for Friday with red and blue candies on top.

OH I love this: my mom puts almond extract in the cool whip and then puts toasted almonds on the top!
