When it's time to change, you've got to rearrange who you are, into what your're gonna be

Do you remember that episode?

Jan went to buy the silver platter for the anniversary and ordered the engraving, Bobby's voice started changing during the talent contest they entered to pay for the additional engraving cost.

I am beginning to have a new appreciation for Mrs. Brady, she married a man with three boys.

Things are changing at my house too, things are starting to stink.

Just this week I noticed a foul smell coming from the gym bag. I know you are saying "STOP, Don't do it!."
It was the GYM bag, I never should have picked up anything to smell.

It was Carter's shirt. Seriously, how can it smell like that after one day?

And I thought I learned my lesson, but did I?

Last night I sniffed Griffin's armpit.

Why, I do not know. Maybe I didn't think my precious 8 year old could really be the source of that smell.

He was.

How did these cute, great smelling babies turn into these foul smelling young men.

My friends always comment on how nice my house smells. If they only knew my secret.

Plug it in, out of sight, near the front door. When you walk in the door your sense of smell focuses on cinnamon goodness and not the gym bag aroma.

To save all of you from more of these posts, I pledge to not play "What's that smell and where is it coming" again. When it doubt, assume it is a boy.

I have three boys. But before they came along, my Hubs is a teacher and got to experience being in a classroom of 5th graders after recess. He has no problem each year telling his class that they are old enough for deodorant and not to look at neighbor as it could be them. He even tells parents at curriculum night that when buying school supplies to throw in deodorant into the cart. Sounds pretty bold but the other female teachers in his hallway are appreciative.
But back to my boys--the real B.O. hasn't yet hit our house but they have always had that sweaty smell after they play outside. I tell them they can't get on the furniture when they are sweaty like that. :)

Carter thinks it is hilarious when something stinks...farts, burps or stinky feet will have him rolling on the ground with laughter. I am surprised at the smells that can come out of that little boy!

I can't figure out how mine can come out of the shower and still have hair that smells like wet dog!? My 10 yr old informed his dad today that he needs deoderant now cause his pits stink. My husband went in for the smell and about fell into a coma. Guess the 10 yr old knows a bad odor when he smells it!

My boys are now 17 and 22, but I remember the first time those smells smacked me in the face! I remember picking up my junior high son and a friend in the middle of winter and it was freezing outside, but the stinch was so bad that I had the heat on full blast and the windows down at the same time....didn't work! All moms should be warned about this. You never think it's going to happen to your kids, but it does! Beware!
