No one died. No one is sick.
It is the third consecutive day with the morning temperatures below 40. It is the day I realized summer is over, fall is here.
I must put away all my sandals and flip flops....Ah, sad, sad day.
I can no longer leave the house in my black Speedo flip flops and expect the weather to warm up. It may still warm up, but if I leave the house in flip flops, I will look like an idiot. With weather like this, snow is in our near future. It is very embarrassing to be caught in a snow storm in sandals. "Are you stupid?" "Do you not have tv for weather forecasts?" "Do you not have a window to the outside?"
So, with a heavy heart I will back up my sandals for the winter...
And pull out fun fall boots and cashmere! Oh, there is a bright side.

**8Sigh*** I feel you...
Did you say "cashmere?" Oh, I love it!
Still wearing sandals around here...
Very sad indeed. Right now we are having a very warm stretch (in the 70's!) but we've been below freezing already this fall, and will be again. I miss my summer sandals already. I rebel by NOT wearing a jacket for most of winter ;)
I still have my flip flops out and will leave them out all year long...you never know when it might be warm enough to wear them...where I live things change all the time...You know what they say about Missouri? If you don't like the weather just wait a minute.
Come on by for some bloggy love today!
I will take cashmere over flip flops any day. I am dying for fall and my cute boots, but it is a blasted 87 here today!
Cashmere... is htere a greater fabric???
My feet really hate it when I put socks on for the cold weather. Here the colors are beautiful and and weather is getting colder everyday.
the boys never give up flip flops... (daddy's boys and all)...
but I love my boots too!!!
I completely understand.
Still in flip flops here.
In the eighties last week.
In the 60's over the weekend.
The 70's this week.
Not sure summer will ever go.
Of course...that is not a bad thing.
Sorry, but I can't WAIT for fall and winter. I live to wear sweaters. And in Texas we have like four days of fall and maybe a month of winter. So I've got to get it where I can!!
Ugh-- I was going to scream if you complained about cashmere--I get to wear cashmere for the one cold month we have and that is it :(
I'll trade my 80 degree day today for your under 40 :)
I am totally with yoU! I wish summer and spring would last forever!
