Please hand me a kleenex

One person in our marriage is very emotional.

This person cries tears of joy at happy family times. When Carter was born, look out for the flood, those tears were falling.

During our wedding this person was wishing they had brought a tissue.

Tears during happy patriotic times, and sad. There was crying during the Olympic Trials.

And now the Olympics are here. I bought plenty of tissues...and gave them to Ben. He is the crier. I don't feel too bad about sharing his story here, he tells everyone himself anyway.

He already teared up during the fencing competition. I think he might have during basketball and beach volleyball also, but he denies it.

And then we had the men's 4x100 relay. Oh, yes, you know it well.

I kept checking to see if he needed a tissue, if the tears were getting his pillow wet. He was doing fine.

And then the phone rang. It was 10:15 pm, who was calling us so late? I checked the caller id. It was our neighbors across the street. It could be anything, someone is sick, they need us to watch the kids, who knows. I answer it quickly.

Me: Hello.

John: sniff, sniff, oh my, I can't, sniff, sniff, believe they won, sniff, sniff.

Me: (laughing) Ben, it's for you.

I'm the crier in my family, and I get made so much fun of. I WISH my husband cried, too, so I could have a partner in crime.

I'm truely LOL! This is to funny! I too did tear up during the swimming several times now. Michael Phelps is just so good. I think the viewers on my blog are sick of hearing about him. Oh well.

What timing... I just had to stop reading this to watch him swim the 200 IM before I commented... kinda funny!

The Olympics do bring out that patriotic spirit, don't they... especially when they are on the medal stand!

How have I been watching five hours of Olympics every night and missed the race?! I'm still so mad. I wish I was I crier, my husband would 'think' I was more sensitive then :) Funny post.

I actually find myself crying tears of laughter reading this! I LOVE IT! I wish my husband cried... In 8 years of marriage and dating I have never seen him cry. Oh, except when cutting onions... I LOVE this post!

Oh how great that you have a man that's not afraid to show his feelings like that. Good for you.

BTW, sorry I haven't mailed your prize yet. I promise I'll get to it. If I can just get hubby to get me an envelope. I might just have to break down and go to the store to buy one. Sorry about that, I did not forget you though.
