Be more specific

I wasn't thinking clearly this morning and therefore did not issue morning instructions as specific as needed.

I said, "Please brush your teeth."

I should have said, "Please brush your teeth without destroying the bathroom."

Lesson learned. I will speak more clearly tomorrow.
